The Korat cat is a silver/blue domestic cat, native to Thailand, that is said to give good luck to people. Often nicknamed the 'good luck cat', these cats were originally given as gifts to newly-weds or people that were held in high esteem by others. Korats are well loved and many Thai people consider the Korat to be their national cat (not the Siamese!).
