They were crossed with Persian cats and are now considered by some to be the 'lazy person's Persian' as they look like short haired versions of Persians and they don't need as much maintenance because of their short coat. They're also a lot livelier, more playful and curious than Persian cats tend to be, but they do share a lot of the same

Ocicat - Outgoing, Active And Intelligent Cats!

The Ocicat is a domestic cat breed that resembles a wild cat, although it has no DNA from wild cats in its gene pool. The breed is extremely unusual as it has the appearance of a wild cat but retains the same temperament as that of a domestic cat. The breed is a mixture of Abyssinian, Siamese and silver tabby American Shorthairs which gave the breed its coloration, distinct markings and bone structure.
